Whink Notes App Reviews

Underrated and Surprisingly Good

I hope the developers actually continue to develop this app. Its sort of under-the-radar good. I like the ink better than GoodNotes or Notability, but not as much as NoteShelf. The app has an iPhone companion, which is good for referencing notes started on an iPad or for updating text. I like the iCloud support (NoteShelf still lacks) and backup to Dropbox. Whink is a good place to jot down a mixture of text and handwriting, with highlighting and basic drawing. Its not as feature rich as other note-taking apps, but thats OK. If I need power I have those apps I can go to. Otherwise, when I want quick, reliable, and available on any device this is a good go to. I just hope the developers continue improving and dont forget about us.

Useless...UPDATE not useless

Every note I create has an error and wont let me back in. Description says it has the ability to annotate PDFs but it doesnt.

Actually really good

Ive been searching for a great note taking app and this one surprisingly is really good. Its like a combination of goodnotes and notability. I just wish I could search my handwritten notes. Which is supposed to come in a future update.

Must Have App For School!

Whink app is the most refreshing download in the recent times for me! I have literally scratched the surface of all the note-taking apps available for the iPad and came to the conclusion that this is the coolest new-age note taking app that also has a very easy user interface. This is the single most important tool i carry to my school. To put it simply, it excels at all the necessary tasks that are expected from a note taking app and best of all is that at the end of the day, i can be rest assured that all my notes are safely backed up to the iCloud !!! What more could i ask for?! I highly recommend it. Go for it!

My new favorite Notetaking app

I have been using Notability for my class notes last year and its a good app. One major complaint about Notability is that the handwriting is not that smooth and the app becomes slow and crashes when I take a lot of notes on a single page. Whink truly excels in this area with its fluid "gel like" pen effect - just love my own handwriting with it. Plus it has all the main features of Notability in an easier to use format. Very convinced that this can be my go-to notes app for my grad school.

Fantastic and Stylish!!

I use this app to take notes at work. I actually look forward to using it! It writes very nicely and my handwriting actually looks better in the app than on real paper!:) I also love the color schemes and preset formats. When Im in a hurry I dont always have time to set up my formats so its nice to have some beautiful preset ones within the app. I REALLY hope the developer continues to update this app as I havent found anything that matches this app for productivity, simplicity, and visual appeal. :)

Almost perfect

I got this app because I grew tired of the increasingly glitchy Notability. Id love it if one could make folders to better organize the notes/documents. It would also be great if the zoom box (dont know how to properly call it) could have the capability to be made smaller. Other than that, I see this app getting better and better in the future.

Almost

I love this app instantly and downloaded it on my iPad, the shape pen is what captured me the most, but the only thing I hate about this app is on iPhone version, you cannot cut & paste. Hope you guys will add it it the next update.

Doc title never saved

For some reason, after typing the titles for many notes, they never showed up (contents are still there), which drives me crazy.

What a wonderful app, yet no default to text mode makes it useless--its not a quick as it should be

If this app had a default to text mode I would have given it 5 stars

Wonderful app with a few glitches

I almost never review apps but I feel the need to here, since Ive fallen in love with Whink. Its extremely fluid and powerful, with a combination of text and drawing input that works extremely well with the iPad Pro. Its selection-copy-paste support is excellent and lets me move my ideas and notes around easily. Ive run into some issues with undoing multiple drawing strokes, as well some issues with notebook names not saving. Seeing these get fixed would be awesome, but even with the slight glitchiness Im using Whink every day to brainstorm and take notes. Thanks for making a great app!

Request to the Creators!

I really like the app! However, I feel like to really get the most out of this absolutely beautiful app, it needs a version for the Mac App Store. This would really let it compete with other apps like Notability, Evernote, OneNote, and others! I like this app a lot and rarely write a review. But, this feels like a good way to request a Mac Version of the app! Thank you!

Best app for hand writing

This app is much better than notepad+ app with 70% less spending.

Wedding and Honeymoon planning

This app helped me immensely with my wedding and honeymoon planning. I was able to make my packing and to do lists without having to use a generic app that did t fit my unique needs. Love it and will continue to use for all around organization!!

Cannot save state

Whink really has a lot going for it, with the right features that I need, and very easy to use. I purchased the Premium version in order to support future development. I have come to regret that, however. After a year and 3 major versions, the developer still has not figured out how to maintain the state of the app when your device goes to sleep. The app always re-opens on the first page of the notebook you had open. You must then scroll back down to the section you were working on. Imagine having to do this dozens of times a day on a multi-page notebook, and you will understand why Whink cannot yet be considered a tool for professionals.

Good notes taking experience !

There seem to be many features in the app, but the need of the hour for an student like me is the notes taking one. I am able to make quick notes and also able to store them in my Dropbox account .

If you are a student... you should get this app

I am a Design major and I can say for sure that this developer has invested a lot of time and effort in understanding students needs and how they take notes. The app is very user-friendly; moreover, they managed to make the mundane process of taking notes fun and interested. This app has so many features to offer but yet appears so simple to use. Kudos to the developer. Request: Id like to see more notebook cover designs in future. I will update my review after using it for some more time. Keep the updates coming

Great App - Very Nice Features

The Editors Notes reg. App encouraged me to install the app.The app looks good with ease of use.The writing experience is cool and especially the Cornell notes taking option is simply superb. There is a lot more to explore about this app. But, so far so good.

Best note taking app...and I have tried them all

Me and 2 of my friends together tried all popular notetaking apps (Penultimate, Good Notes, Noteshelf, Notebility and Notes Plus). While we were about to settle on one of them, we saw Apple featured this app in the "Time To Study" section. I gave it a try and instantly fell in love with the simplicity of use and fluidity of the handwriting. Thank you Apple for the awesome recommendation

Genius, Amazing and Huge Cost Savings

This app just saved me $1,000. I was planning on purchasing The Surface mainly due to its great pen experience, but this app is very competitive, if not slightly better. Thank You Whink! A perfect app. for consultants, sales executives, process improvement leaders, etc.
