Whink Notes App Reviews

I found the answer at the developer’s website. Restart your device and you should be able to access your notes. Complaining here in the reviews is not the way to get problems fixed.

Can not open saved notes on iPad pro or iPhone 6s Plus even after upgrading to premium. Very disapointed. Please fix this so I can use it and write a good review.

Can not see covers, can do nothing with my notes - a bug? (iOS iPhone 9.2), a dumb app? Dont know...

An OK app, but when I tried to use the Apple Pencil with it on an iPad Pro I gave up on it, Too laggy to be useful as the joy of the Pencil is how natural it feels. I have other note-taking apps that work perfectly with my devices, so Ill wait to see what happens with this app. Also, the UI has a feeling of friction, like I need to press around a lot, but there are tons of space on my iPad, so all the options might even fit in one toolbar. I think that a UX person could iron this all out and make it dramatically better. As it is now, it looks nice, but is slow and a requires a bit too many multiple press options.

I admit Ive only used Whink for a short period, but I dont think it takes too much time with it to get a feel for it. Bottom-Line: It gets the basics of note-taking done, with a nice aesthetic. I felt the Apple Pencil support was good. Its one of a few apps that fully rejects skin contact - perhaps thats an issue of being left-handed, but its what I want, or better yet need. My only complaint is a matter of aesthetic choice: Id like to choose different paper color, and the spacing between ruled lines. I felt like I was taking notes in my kindergarten ruled notebook, where spacing between each line is large enough to give inexperienced hands enough room to make large letters. To the developer: If you could add dark gray or black paper choices, and a tighter ruled line sheet it would be very much appreciated. I really like your app!

Not able to open document at all. Crash immediately when open or create documents.

Its too bad as I feel this app wouldve been incredible for my iPad Pro but the app always crashes when opening any document, regardless if its iCloud or not. Developer said its Apples fault. I dont understand how this app can even be available on the App Store. Its useless currently.

Premium;

Whink really has a lot going for it, with the right features that I need, and very easy to use. I purchased the Premium version in order to support future development. The $2.99 asking price is reasonable. Unfortunately, continued use "in the field" has revealed a fatal flaw, namely lack of multitasking capability. As soon as the app becomes inactive, it forgets which document and page you were working on, so during a busy work day, you will be reopening the same document and navigating to the same page over and over again. This must be addressed for Whink to be considered a professional tool.

Absolutely love this app. Worth the money for the added features. And best part about it is the creators seem to be sticking with it and adding new features! I love being able to record slide by slide and the zoomed in writing tool. These two features alone have gotten me through my first year of grad school! The only thing I wish it allowed was for the user to be able to arrange different files the way they want and not to be forced into sorting by name/last time opened. And also if we could group files into folders that we could name. Minor things, other than that this app is a dream come true

Wish I could give 4.5 stars the app creators have truly amazed me here!! Edit: wow Im amazed at how quickly they updated this app!!! I had thought I would have to settle for notability as my go to note taker. Now I gotta say they are basically there for me. However one thing would help is similar to notability if you could import multiple docs at the same because so many times I like to do a mass import and if I can only go one doc or pttx at a time it can be tedious. Preferably similar to notability you can import slides also exit it so it downloads them in the background would be a big help! That alone would make notability and this app right head to head. Also ability to change cover page after already having chosen a cover page for a document and change document group colors so they arent all the same color or theme when you have multiple groups of files and some themes for the whink App itself would be nice too. Adding the clock widget would be nice also. But man just add the multiple document import feature and youve got no complaints from me. Edit: also recently after using the record tool occasionally it bugs and just stops my ability to write anything with the pen tool or erase or highlight not sure what happens this happens only when i am in record mode and it can be annoying please fix this as it definitely hurts the apps ability to be number one. Multitask support would hurt either so that the app can be exited and when you reenter you can resume from where you left off instead of having to open the same doc over and over again.
